Colored Contacts Prescription?
Question:
i just had a few questions about getting a prescription for colored contact lenses. Although I don't need vision correction, I DO want to get colored contacts and I know that you need a prescription even for the non eye-vision-correction ones.
How much does it usually cost to get the fitting and prescription?
Where can you get it done?
Which are and where can i find the cheapest colored contacts (online)?
I have brown eyes. Which color would make my eyes stand out most (blue, sapphire, turquoise, honey...?)

You can get a prescription at any eye wear institution offering eye exams. The cost will be between $50-80.I'd check WalMart, Sears, or check the yellow pages for Optometrists. On line I don't know you'll have to do your own homework, The color depends on you color or complexion...I 'd go with blue. Catches the eye, and turquoise would not look natural..
well it depends on your color face. if you are light complected, you should go with hazel, and if you are like a medium color like mexican colored you should really get green. cuz that's soooooo hot! if you are dark complected, you should get honey colored. sorry i don't wear colored contacts so i cant say where to get it or anything. but just telling you what I think. so...

You don't actually need a 'prescription', you need your eyes measured so they know what size contacts to give you. Cost of exams vary, from about $25-$45 depending on insurance, or if you purchase the lens from them. Call around your local Opticians and ask- they'll tell you. Ive found America's Best Contacts to be cheapest in my area.
As far as your eyes 'standing out' it depends what color you want them really. To be honest, the 'tiger eye' contacts are the most striking Ive seen. In colors, mine stood out most with the green, but I have green eyes!!
