Does it REALLY harm your eyes, sitting too close to the TV?

Question:
I had lasik surgery done, and our big screen is 6 feet away from our couch. Could this make my vision bad again? Should I rearrange my living room? The room is small and shaped weird. Should I worry about it?

Answer:
Yes and so does the internet I'm a living example. If you don't take you eyes off the t.v or internet in a while or get too close to the screen you WILL have blurry vision becasue your eyes and contracting/expanding so much it doesn't have a chance to rest so they jsut "Give up and let go for while or for GOOD'".
yes and you should sit at a distance of 8 feet
TV have cathode tubes that shoot high speed electrons at phosphorous to make the color you see on TV's. How many high speed electrons miss the phosphorous, and hit the person viewing the TV, I don't know, but high speed electrons hitting your eye in significant amounts would cause voltages and chemical reactions to occur.
yes . it causes eye strain. hope you do,nt watch it to often. take care of your eyes honey.
id ask my boyfreind but i cant see him
Distance do give an impact to our eyes. The further the distance , the better for your eyes. However, if your room is too small and there is no way U could change the position, then, U have to adjust your viewing pattern.
1. do not watch your TV too long.
2. Take a break during advertisement.
3. Look at the far object once in a while.
4. Wear sun glass.
