Does anybody know if laser correction for your eyes is good?

Question:
I am thinking about getting my vision corrected by laser surgery, does anybody have anything to say about it?

how much does it cost?

Answer:
My husband had it done 2 yrs ago, it was about $1200 per eye, he only had 1 eye done. It allows him to see near sighted in eye and far sighted in the other eye. The brain is tricked in to seeing normally with both eyes. If he wants to read he closes one eye, and if he is seeing very far and way he closes one eye.
He loves it. Before he had it done he was practically blind, he could not see 5 feet away, now he has 20/20 vision.
I do not know the current rates, BUT make SURE that you use an eye surgeon who has done this hundreds or thousands of times with good results. Unfortunately my mother trusted an eye doctor who performed laser correction and left her with Scarring in the eye, which actually made her vision worse. And the area of the eye where the laser was is actually useless for seeing, so technique and skill is enormously important. Good Luck!
I had it done for astigmatism. It worked very well for me.

I paid top dollar for mine. I was'nt going to cheap it on my eyes.
If the tests are ok for you to do the laser surgery, go for it. You will not regret it.

I had mine done 4 years back and never in my life did I regret doing it. The only regret is not doing it earlier. Get it done at a reputable hospital, that way you can avoid any mistakes or infection. However, lasik can't prevent the problem of long-sightedness when one gets old so get it done as soon as possible to enjoy a longer time of sight without glasses.

I done mine in Singapore and it cost S$2,250 per eyes (about US$1,500). Think it would be cheaper in states. Good luck.
It has a good track record. My brother had both his eyes done at the same time. The only thing he would recommend is to fill your prescription for pain killers right away and take them then. He waited, took a nap, and when the local anesthesia wore off he was in agony. Make sure you go to a doctor with plenty of experience. The cost was $2500 per eye. The longer you wait the price should come down due to the fact of the doctor paying off the initial expense of the equipment.
It's not the cost. I am 63 years old and I would love not to have to wear glasses any more but I cannot bring myself to let anyone mess with my eyes. I realise this is narrowmindedness on my part, but my eyes see so many things, I just don't want to take a chance with it.
