Post Lasik Operation Questions / Concerns.?
Question:
Answer:
After the lasik operation, I noticed that halo glow coming from lights at night, but my night vision was much better than with glasses or contacts. I was also pretty sensitive to oncoming lights, and they had a really bad halo effect too. I did get used to it, and later on noticed that this effect had gone away about 3-4 months after the surgery.
As far as redness, my eyes didn't experience that. I did do a lot of yawning to moisten my eyes, thinking this would get rid of the halo effect. I've always had problems with eyedrops, though, and prefer my natural tears.
Don't be worried - I had lasik a few years ago. Your eyes are VERY dry - the kind of drops you should be using are the gel-like drops which are VERY thick. You should still be using prescription eye drops as well to prevent infection. Your eyes are still adjusting to using the muscles behind your eyes so your night vision is going to seem impaired since you are straining your eyes more in the dark than during the day.
Just lubricate lubricate lubricate the eyes!
You'll feel better in a few more months. My eyes still get dry and I use Visine Tears on a daily basis.
I also got Pink Eye in both eyes 2 months after I had lasik so I'm sure you are just fine :)
This sounds like normal reaction and if your doctor doesn't think there's a problem you've just got to be patient while your eyes heal and adjust.
