Have you had lasik eye surgery or know someone who has?
Question:
thanks!
Answer:
I just want to relay what I have heard. After a bad expierience localy, my mother regularly goes to Wilmer Eye Institute at John Hopkins Hospital for her regular check ups, eye exams etc. She has latice degenration that has to be monitored closely. If you don't know Hopkins is one of the best hospitals in the WORLD. Wilmer is extremely reputable it the field. Her doctors at Wilmer say that NO ONE should have Lasik. They say it is not perfected and is not safe and that there are no long term studies.
Also please think about the fact that no one knows what will happen to your eyes long term... everyone that has had the surgery has been with in the past few years. What happens in 10 years? 20? no one knows. You may see great for 10 years and then end up completely blind...
Just passing the info along, best of luck to you.
I did it, one of the best decisions I made
I know 2 people that had it done. My friend has or had the same problem she was near sighted she hated glasses and contacts she went to the Dr. and eventually got the lasik done she said it was the best thing she has ever done.. her vision is perfect and she said that it didn't really hurt after wards just the eyes were kinda sore and there is just a bunch of light when its being done.. not any pain either.. she recommends it to anyone and that the post op was to a regular optometrist she even got a co worker to get it done.. same thing.. hes happier now than ever
I know a few people who have done the lasik eye surgery. All of them think it's the best. The dark glasses only have to be worn for a few days and the surgery does not hurt. I think cost here in California is about $1100.00. There is also only certain people who qualify for this surgery so you would have to talk to an optometrist about it. Good luck!
