After Lasik eye surgery, can your vision still worsen?

Question:
If you're nearsighted, you get Lasik and you're vision goes back to 20/20, can your eyes still get worse later?

Answer:
yes, it is certainly possible. this is why all LASIK surgeons require that your Rx is "stable" (same Rx over & over again) before the surgery so that its less likely to worsen later.

if you do get "worse", an enhancement is sometimes possible.

one thing to remember about LASIK...while it is "permanent" (you will no longer be nearsighted), it does not keep you out of glasses forever. you will still need reading glasses or reading correction of some kind after your mid 40's...
They can, that is why you have to go back for a checkup each year.
Yes...and if it does, you'll have to wear glasses because it won't be possible to wear contacts anymore because of the surgery.
Of course. It isn't replacing your eyes. Not trying to make you sound stupid but trying to say remember the body wears over time. The eye is no exception. the surgery is simply to "repair" your vision at the time. It would be like taking your car in and getting a new engine for example. That new engine will still wear down over time.
Yep, eyes are still an organ in your body so most likely they will age on after your surgery
yes and they deteriorate faster than they would naturally
