Military medical question!?

Question:
Can you join the army if you had surgery for esotropia on your eyes? The eyesight is still 20-20. The surgery was to tighten and loosen some eye muscles, it was NOT for vision correction. Do you need a waiver for this if possible?

Answer:
I am sure if your vision is good you can get in. They may need to get a waiver but with your med records and a note from your doc you should be fine. The MEPS doc may want to look at you also. Good luck!
you will need to submit your med docs (thru your recruiter) to the MEPS...probably (if all else goes well) a waiver may be approved no guarentees
It all depends on what the dr says at meps and if you get into bootcamp. It is the drs at boot camp too.
I believe so as long as it is not a recurring condition. The best way to know for sure is to call your local army recruiter.
Being the medical readyness Nco at my unit. From what ive seen yes, you can join. I have seen people join the army with worst things. for example, asthma. so Im sure youll be ok. i can almost be certain that if you need a waiver, youll get it
You may still be eligible to enlist, just take your med docs to your recruiter and have a med-read done. After that, a med waiver should be no problem at all.
