Question regarding Lasik?
Question:
Answer:
I had lasik a couple of years ago. The surgery was at night, it was really painful when I got home, and I tried to go straight to sleep. In the morning I went in for a checkup, and was still a little blurry- although i had those eye-cover things over my eyes.
As soon as those were removed, I could see clearly! Eyes still hurt a bit, but they got better quite quickly. You should be fine by Monday, for sure. I'm guessing you're taking antibiotic eyedrops now, right? Keep taking those to avoid infection.
it depends on your eyes everyone's different, it could take a few months
It fluctuated for me for about 12 days.
Then it became crystal clear.
I keep my eyes wet with
Sustane and Restasis
both given by my eye doc..
restasis x's 6 months
sustane as rewetting drops.

Well, I hope it doesn't depend on the discount your received on the operation!
Good Luck!
I had a different form of lasik (lasek) where the eyes form their own flap. I know it takes 6 months for the fluctuations to quit completely. Each fluctuation will get less and less. Three weeks was the recommended time off for the procedure I had.
Dryness was the big problem. Restasis is pretty standard post surgery. Make sure you use your eye drops initially religiously and take all the vitamins/supplements recommended.
I've never used Lasik but from what I've heard, your vision should become 20/20 normal (without the blurring or glare) within a couple of days.
Hope this helps! (:
It took me just a couple of days to get used to the mono-vision concept I received. I had no pain and no problem keeping my eyes open for any length of time. I had to rinse my eyes periodically, which I think probably helped keep my eyes clear.
Of course, everyone is different. Give it time. I bet by Monday you'll be more on track.
in 1995 it was called laser surgery or rk. i had rk done. with rk you could go in and have the surgery done up to 5 times in one year till you got to the eye sight you wanted. i went in once and my eye sight was: 20 over 25 right eye and 20 over 35 left eye. i was satified with that so i didn't have any more done. i'm not sure if lasik surgery is the same thing. i had 8 pie slices done in both eyes. you could see the minute you walked out of the office. i had to wear dark sun glasses that covered both my eyes. i had to go home and sleep as many hours as possible. my eyes felt like sand paper. i was given eye drops to soothe my eyes. if i remember right it took about three to four days where they didn't feel like sand paper any more. this is one of the best things i ever did. it's been 11 years since i did this. my diabetes changed my eyesight just alittle. one eye reads 20 over 30 now. the older you are when a person has this done the better. my daughter-in-law had it done when she was in her 20s. she's wearing glasses again, her eye sight went back. not to what it was, but enough to wear glasses.
