Lasix eye correction surgery. would you do it if you are a visual artist?

I am afraid that I would be unhappy with the results, since I hear they usually give you one eye for reading and another for distance. Does anyone out there have any experience to share?
Answer:
I had lasik done, and it was absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. I have never heard of them doing each eye differently--that would at the least probably give you migraines. Make sure you go to a reputable doctor, though. Don't just look for the cheapest one. The doctor will do a thorough examination to make sure you're a good candidate for it. They won't just do it on anyone who asks.
One eye for reading and one eye for distance sounds totally crazy and uncomfortable for any human being. Check your sourses.
Everyone I have heard of says it is the best thing they ever did.

I am also a visual artist, and have problems with my vision both distance and now with the age thing, up close. I would not allow any surgery to be done to my eyes that might have a chance to go wrong. My eyes are important to what I do, and am totally apprehensive with anyone touching or tampering with them. If you are gung ho, then I would do my research with the various doctors out there offering the procedure and ask to talk to previous patients if possible
My mom had it done with different correction in each eye. Her insurance paid for it because she had catatracts. She had it done a couple of months ago and has not complained. However I would suggest that you go to a recommened doctor.
