Has anyone went for a LASIK MD before?

Question:

For anyone who doesnt know, LASIK MD is basically is a laser eye procedure which improves your vision to near 20/20 sight. I have read the testimonials and they sound convincing but I am still hesitiant. I need to know someone who has and if it is really worth it.

I work for a LASIK center - (Laser Eye Center - Dr Gary Kawesch - San Jose & Pleasanton, CA) and I've also had LASIK done there. I don't know anything about LASIK MD, but what you should look for in a surgeon is...

*experience level
*how long he/she has been in practice
*success rate
*ranges of corrections they have done

Go in for a consultation @ any LASIK center. They should do quite a few tests (your exam should be 1 1/2 - 2 hours) and they can tell you which procedures (which laser type etc) you're a candidate for then also do some research on the lasers.

I have not ever gone to it, but I do know a couple people that have and everyone I know that has gone has had no problems with it. There is a side effect for a day or two right after its done which is light sensitivity but other then that i would say go for it :)

I've has laser surgery and it worked fine. My vision was very bad(-9)and so I"ve had enhancement on both eyes. Right now my vision is good enough not the wear glasses but not 20/20. It is not pain full, some people suffer from dry eyes afterwords. I did not go to Lasik MD but to Herzig Eye institute in Toronto. Lasik MD did screw around my cousin, she had a consultation and they agreed to do her eyes. But then when she went to the appointment they said her eyes couldn't be done. Poor costumer service!
