I would like to start an online brokerage account, I only have 2g's to start with ,which online firm is best?

Question:
I only have 2000 bucks but would like to start investing in stocks, I have mutual funds 401k etc... good credit no debt the whole 9! now onto stocks! which brokerage firm,, was looking at sharetrader but I really dont know?

Answer:
Scottrade works just fine for me (http://www.scottrade.com/). I have my IRA in it. Those $7 trades, often trading almost instantly, are really, really nice.
Datek or Ameritrade I think
My husband and I use Vanguard and TDAmeritrade.
Try TradeKing they are the best.
i know www.ing.com is excellent. plus they offered saving accounts, retirement actions.
Doing this sort of thing online is just asking for your money to be stolen. I would recommend investing offline. You don't know what or who you're investing in.
none its best in my pocket actually;)
Inexpensive ones: Zecco, TradeKing, Scottrade... Yes, sharebuilder is one of inexpensive ones, too.

Others: Etrade, TD Ameritrade, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, ...
