E-trade buying a fraction of a stock ?
Question:
Say for example Apple sells for $90/share. Can I buy .55 shares for 50 bucks?
also what's the cost per trade?
I dont believe you can but you can do that on Sharebuilder though.
are you looking to purchase small amounts on a regular basis? if so, contact the transfer agent of the stock and they can get you in touch with folks in house to set up an account. the account will be had at the transfer agent and any dividends (if any are paid) will be automatically reinvested.
