OCI - Investment Options?

hi, i am an indian born canadian citizen living in usa. i have an oci too. and an indian address where my father lives.

what are the options i have with respect to opening a bank account, opening an fd account and opening a demat for trading stocks/mutual funds. how will the tax treatment work.

first find out if you can trade indian stocks sitting in place like canada. Because i know i was told sometime, it is illegal to buy/sell indian stocks, in indian market when u stay in US. but also i know it is legal, when done from UK. so do refer for that and try opening a NRI account.
