Algebra 2 help please?
Question:
Problem 2: simplify x^2-1/x+2 * x^2+5x+6/x^2+4x+3
problem 3: solve 2x-3y=-5, -3+y=4
problem 4: the graph of the inverse of a function refleacts about a) x- axis b) y - axis c) line y=x d) line y=-x
problem 5: The value of a stock is given by V(t)=$45(1-e^-0.8t)+$15, where V is the value of the stock after time t, in months. Estimate the value of the stock after 6 months.
problem 6: An investment of $2560 is made at interest rate i, compounded annually. In two years, it grows to $ 3240. what is the interest rate? (note A=P(1+i)^t, A=amount in account after interest has accumulated, P=principal, i=interest rate, t= time in years.
problem 7: The inverse of a function is a) sometimes a function b) always a function c) never a functions d) never a relation.
problem 8: expand (x+2)^3
problem 9: solve l 3-4x l > 2
Answer:
1 (3x+1)(2x-3)
3 y=7 x=8
8 x^3+6x^2+12x+8=0
good luck
People come on here to answer specific questions about specific types of problems so that they DON'T have to do your homework for you... it's a "teach you how to fish" type mentality.. of course, any second someone will post the answers.
But there is a discipline that comes from doing your own homework, and you won't find that by asking others to do it for you..
Here are some hints to follow
1. Use quadratic formula
2. add like terms and factorize
3. Get each one into y = mx + b, graph then and look for point of intersection. Make sure to provide both the x and the y coordinate
4. Its not D .. work from there .
5. just plug in and Get the answer. Make sure to keep it to 3 sig figures.
6. It gives you everything you need and the formula. It would be extra mouth feeding if any other hint is given
7. use your vertical line test and the horizontal line tests. Also might help to use some examples.
8. Binomial theorem is a good place to start
9. You should have 2 answers for this .. one of them should be > 2 and the other should be > -2
this is homework man .. stop being lazy and actually do something! ..
I feel ashamed for giving you these hints. But then again, I just love math.. can't stop solving problems..
1. x= -1/3 and 1.5
2. x-1
3. x=8, y=7
4. line y=x
7. sometimes a function
8. x^3+6x^2+12x+8
9. x>1.25 or x<.25
good luck on the others
