Why am I not being hired for jobs here in michigan?

Question:
I don't know why I haven't been hired for jobs I apply to. I applied at mall jobs, Target, comcast, Att&t, Speedway gas station and other place. Some place say I'm over qualified, some place say I don't have enough experience. This is frastrating to me because I need a job. The job that I held in the past was at Dialogue marketing as Telephone Service Representative 2006, Eddie Bauer as a Cashier/ Sales Representative 2005-2006, Aegis Lending Mortgage Corp. as a Loan Officer 2004, Fedex as a Non Dot Handler/ Assistant Team Leader 2000- 2004, Diamler Chrysler as a Seasonal Temporary Parts Depot Line worker 1999, 7 Eleven as a Cashier/stock worker 1999, and at a citgo gas station changing car tires 1996. Plus I have some college course work in Accounting and Business Management. I'm 26 yrs old, intelligent, a hard worker, and a good leader. Plus I good at multi tasking and creative. So why am I not being hired? I don't know but it hurt my pride. I want to be hired now.

Answer:
I know how you feel. You seem to be extremely qualified. A lot of it depends on luck and timing, and who you know. Not necessarily how qualified you are. Sad but true. Good luck in your search. You WILL find a job soon, as long as you keep trying and sending out those resumes. It also helps to arrive in person to deliver resumes. Sometimes that will work. The worst thing to do is feel like a defeatist. You need to keep your confidence up. I know it is hard when it seems like no one wants you, but believe it or not, that job is out there for you. Hang in there.
guess it's time to move... there are jobs all over the US
me neither!! got a great resume and lots of experiance with references but cant get a doggone job!!! uuurrrggghhh! i'm even being told that i'm over qualified for lesser jobs and cant get hired in my field and unemployment is taking forever and not giving up any answers!!!! granholm sure did us wrong!!!
Sometimes it just comes down to luck. Revise your resume, think about how your interviews can be improved, and if you still don't have any luck, look in surrounding areas for jobs. Good Luck!
Hmmm, very strange you seem to have some very good qualities and all round experience, have you tried working for yourself, I have a couple of little online businesses that may interest you so I invite you to look at them, one is totally FREE no catches so nothing to loose, the other a small outlay but you could be well rewarded for learning more..

Michigan has such a depressed economy right now. A lot of people are out of work.
At 50 the company I was with restructured the management and to make a long story short, I was no longer working there after 12 weeks. I have a great resume but had a hard time finding work. So I went out and got my insurance license. Yes it is commission only, but in this line of work you make exactly what you are worth.

Go to www.naafutureagents.com and if you want to talk with me I would be happy to interview you. This work can be done from anywhere in the US, so you would not have to move.
