How many checks should I get?

Question:
I'm ordering checks for some corporate accounts I just started. One's for my real estate holdings, the other's for my stocks.

Considering that I'm young, and the bank tells me I have to send money from these accounts via check, should I buy 300, or 2400?

2400 is a little cheaper per check, but it does cost substantially more.

I know, this is kind of a lame question. But I get to be lame every so often.

Answer:
Don't order more than a 1 year supply. Your business needs will change too quickly. Also, don't order the checks from the bank. They will rip you off. Get them printed from another company. You can do a google search and find a bunch of good deals on check printing.
300
2400...
It depends on how many checks you'll write every month and how long it will take the check printer to print new checks. Writing 20 checks a month will take you 15 months to run out of the 300 checks but 10 years if you buy 2400.

2400 checks seems way too much unless you plan to write hundreds of checks each month.
