Sharebuilder vs Scottrade?

Question:
Which one should i choose ?. I am going to start investing in stocks with $1000. I plan on buying atleast 5 different stocks. I know pretty much about scottrade $7,but is sharebuilder any good ? They allow investing on tuesday's only and for $12/month i can get 6 free trades. Please help me decide.

Answer:
Hello.

I use ShareBuilder myself. It's all about dollar-cost averaging. You get less shares of a stock when the price is high and more shares when the price drops. You aren't guaranteed to make huge amounts of money this way, but you are going to build a lot over the long term by starting off with a little. That is the point of investing only on Tuesdays. It puts you in the habit of regular monthly, weekly, etc. investments versus day to day trading.

Hope that helped a little.
Have you thought about ameritrade? I have it and it is very good. 9.99 per trade. I forget how many free ones you start off with. I think i got 20. BUt that was before they merged with that other company. TD waterhouse.
