What is the accounting treatment for Employee Stock Option Scheme?

Question:

Answer:
If you are talking about an ESOP plan it is handled like a lot of other qualified plans, IE 401k but there is extra paperwork and due diligence that the IRS requires of the employer. You need someone that is an ESOP expert, which I am not to handle this or it will get screwed up and the IRS will come a calling.
