Yahoo e-mail has been down for most of the day. No-one seems to care and there has been no service or network update on Yahoo's 'new and improved' homepage.
The best solution - switch to Google Mail and force Yahoo to treat their customers with respect in future...

Are you using the Beta version of Y! Mail? The beta version was having performance problems. When I have urgent things to do and messages, I revert back to the earlier version of Y! Mail.
One of the pluses about Yahoo is the aggregation of services (e.g.E-mail, IM, web hosting, photos, and etc). When possible, I centralize the services I use.
