Question:
Based on your own experience, what degree do you think is the most transferable, a degree in Economics or Business Accounting? I plan to work for large investment firm when I get out of school, somewhere dealing with stocks and bonds, thinking about becoming a stock analyst. I figure that I can learn about economics when I get into the real world of working, but Accounting and the structure of Corporations is somewhat hard to pick up in it’s entirely when you never went to school to study such subject. What are your thoughts? Should I get a degree in Economics or Business Accounting?
Note: Transferable, meaning that I am able to switch jobs without too many difficulties holding me back.
Answer:
Economics major, business accounting minor.that way you cover both bases. That's what I did. However, I ended up hating it and went back to school...now I'm a nurse and love it!
economics
none. a law degree should do.
economics all the way and even go for a minor in international economics as we are now in a global economy versus 40 years ago where we the USA was the global economy .There is basic acct in economics so you will have enough to wing it till you get help from the home office .
