How to find your spouse's hidden assets in a divorce?
Question:
Answer:
You'll need an attorney. Yes, joint stuff can indeed "disappear" into places you neve thought to look. Getting a copy of your tax returns for previous years is helpful -- on it will be listed income from stock sales, and interest on bank accounts. Then you and your attorney can call those companies, and request copies of the papers. HOpe this helps.
When you find out let me know...I am in the same predictament.
He can also withdraw them and run!
He probably sold everything and put the money in his mother's name. That's what my ex did.
There is not alot that you can do if he took everything while you were still married and spent the money cashed the bonds anything like that he could have given them as a gift things like that if he has done that then there is nothing that you can do about it.
hire a PI
All you need to do is prove there were joint assets and the are now gone. You show this to the court and the court will figure those missing assets as part of the divorce.
Doesn't matter if he hide them. There is proof that the were there. That is all you need.
