How do i open a stock brokerage account?

Question:
i want to start trading stocks but i dont have the spare 500 needed to open an account. so is there some place cheaper where i dont need a min of 500 in the account to open it up?

Answer:
Go to your local Edward Jones branch office. Even though it is a small account, they will be very friendly and helpful.
You can go to a bank like chase and ask to speak to the broker. You can go to Sccottrade. You can go ask ETrade about their options on opening an account. You should google Brokerage account firms or companies. This should give you an great start.
