My wife has taken my stock from my shop?

Question:
are you sitting comfortably.. then i will begin.
the wife and i split 7 months ago, I moved out of my house leaving her and my 2 children there,
she worked at my tattoo shop as a piercer and i allowed her to come and get ALL her stuff from the shop. she went back to work in her mums shop as a piercer and employed a tattooist to try to rival me..LOL. he is rubbish, that i do not mind.
the thing is. i cannot see my children, she will not allow it. her family have issued death threats, which were recorded on my CCTV and given to the police. my dad 3 weeks ago payed for me to fly to australia to see my uncle before he dies and whilst there she broke in to my shop and emptied it. she signed a statement that she has nothing to do with the business 6 months ago, yet the police helped her break in to MY shop "im a sole trader" and take my all "even my accounts and appointments book" the police have admitted their mistake but are not proceeding with anything... what can i do? UK answers

Answer:
hey, you need to get your self a lawyer as soon as you can. The police have admitted their mistake which shows they are liable. which if you do go to court a result will happen.

with the whole case of the death threats, did you know even a death threat is an arrestable offence now? theyve got the CCTV tapes which you could use as evidence for an harrassment charge.

thats completely horrible and i really feel bad for you... but i seriously suggest you get in contact with an advisor, try going to your citizens advice beuro in your local town or city as they can provide a solicitor for you for free if you have a case... they also have advisors there so they can tell you more about it and whether or not you should invest yourself in getting a reputable solicitor. id get down there as soon as possible and file your case as the longer you leave it the less likely the judge is to take you seriously.

good luck with it and i hope you get it sorted out. but seriously go there first and they can advice you in near enough everything

good luck again, i hope justice is on your side, oh and even if your partner doesnt let you see your kids id go to there school or something as they finish and give them their christmas card to them as if you send it throug the post it mite get "lost" before it reaches them...

hope you found that useful...

Phone the Law Society and ask them to put you in touch with a solicitor. They normally give you a 20 min free interview
i know what i would do ,
do you live near a river
Not being familiar with the laws where you are, I would suggest you keep pestering them, taking it to the next supervisor until you reach someone who will show the correct amount of concern over this abuse. While doing this, I suggest you also contact a civil attorney(barrister?) and check into your options on that front. I feel your pain man, my ex managed to slip 74 thousand out of my business account before she disappeared. Prosecuting for fraud is way too expensive here. I wish you the best sir.
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE UK BUT IN AMERICA THE POLICE WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT FOR ALL THE DAMAGES AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS STOLEN. THEY WOULD THEN HAVE TO ARREST THE WOMAN.
Sounds like a job for your local MP.
Hi Sparky,

Well, the answer is simple, it doesn't matter if she went into the shop with the SAS backing her up, it is still illegal. It is burglary.

If she duped the police into helping her then more fool them. she would need a court order to enter the premesis.
First of all you must insist on pressing charges against your ex wife.

Then make a complaint to the Police Complaints Authority.

If you have evidence of threats to kill, then press charges there also. At minimum it is an assault under the Criminal Justice Act s.39.

Talk to a solicitor.

Then buy a big tub of popcorn, sit back and watch the fireworks.

I'd love a case like this.

Good luck.
Don't really know mate! I am sorry. She is a real b.
