Would you ignore a friend or family member that owned oil stocks?

Question:
I personally own 230 shares (buy more every month) of Chevron (CVX) and somehow some of my co-workers found out (I didn't tell anyone) and they make rude comments about it. If you own individual stocks outside a retirement account is that public information or something?
whatever f*ck them if they dont like you cause you have stock then like i said f*ck them
They are making rude comments about it out of jealousy. Just because you are good with your money and invest it, don't let them bother you. I would hope that it is not public knowledge.
I won't, I know I had a great grandfather who was the top engineer at one like 50 yrs ago! My granfather probably ownes some too! I don't like the companies but I'm not going to judge you! If you own the thing then that's another story
Their just jealous of you, just ignor them and be yourself, they will wise up some day
NO! There will be many things in your life that are not approved of by your friends and family. Are you going to live your life by what others say and feel or what you want to do?
Not if I thought that they might die and leave the stocks to me.
its no one business what stock you own
