Finance, Business, Accounting?
Question:
I would like to study stock investing also. I think it will be a great help in my life sometime.
Answer:
If you are considering a second degree to complement your Computer Engineering degree. One that wil position you for long term corporate success, my suggestion would be for you to pursue a Business Degree with an emphasis in International Finance. Since you expressed a propensity for stock analysis, use your electives for some targeted securities training.
This should give you a solid foundation for any corporate career path you find yourself pursuing in the future. If you have the time and desire, I would additionally suggest going ahead and getting an MBA with a Finance Emphasis as well. The starting compensation, as well as the growth compensation, will more than justify the effort
Granted this is just an opinion, for what it is worth, but had I the opportunity to go through the my educational track again, this would be the path I would have followed.
may i recommened accounting, while it is the hardest of the three disciplines youve mentioned, its got the best job security, and best pay. you learn all of the same topics as you do in Finance and administration, but you also gain many financial tools to help not only your corporation, but your personal finances as well
Don't do this mistake, business, finance, accounting… all looks interesting when you are not practicing it, yes you will enjoy it in the college, but when it become your profession…. It is only too much work, boring boring boring, not good income comparing to engineers,
good luck
