What is the no-brainer stock purchase of 2006 and why?

Question:
Okay, I felt really stupid for not investing in Halliburton (HU), check it out on Yahoo stocks. They were down really low and then after we went into Iraq it jumps through the roof (Big Surprise!)--In case you don't know their former CEO is our current Vice President of the U.S. and this company makes money from government contracts. Cheney of course will have some family/off-shore accounts to benefit from this later in life I'm sure. And if you've been brainwashed to think otherwise, screw you.

What is the no brainer stock purchase of 2006 and please include your rationale. Please don't make this too complicated, I want simple (like my Halliburton example). And take no offense. I have a very pragmatic, moderate view of politics, I despise republicans and democrats alike. I don't discriminate.

Thanks for your help and hopefully we'll both make some nice money in 2006.

Answer:
Google, currently trading at just under $415 per share is still a good investment according to analysts. Why Google, because, they are one of the biggest search engines and overall their stock can only go up, barring a huge disaster. I don't know much about finance but it just makes sense to me.
Microsoft earns $10B in cash annually. Look at their current assets year after year. It goes up $10B every year. They are releasing the new versions of Windows and Office this year. They've just come way off a 52-week high.
Also, buy the oil companies (XOM, COP) every time they dip. Oil prices will not be coming down permanently - buy on temporary dips. Sell at peaks.
Motorola is the no-brainer pick for 2006. It has gotten its groove back this year with the RAZR and it has a great Ceo in charge now who is not afraid to take on Nokia. The company recently acknowledged that Nokia has better distribution network but that Motorola produces better phones. They are also currently very fairly priced and have had a nice run this year but in my opinion just the start look at Apple a year back. Motorola has developed lower priced models that will compete with the dominant already low priced Nokia phones in India. Product design is increasingly more important in a maturing cell phone industry look at Apple. You got to go with Motorola buy it after it goes over the resistance at 24.00 or the high at 24.99.
This is just my opinion,

Thanks,

Kenny
I am bullish on Whole Foods Market for 2006. They have had a great last few years but are continuing to expand. A lot of people are switching over and buying organic foods for health reasons. The company is also environmentally friendly...

Everytime I shop there it is crowded.
