Can I have my stock broker split evenly shares of stock I own?

Question:
I want to gift my children, who have different brokerage accounts than myself - I want them to have the actual shares of stock added to their own accounts, and not have to sell my stock for cash or to rebuy - -can I ask my broker to do this? I assume there will be a cost..Thanks

Answer:
Yes you can as long as the shares are still with the brokers and you do not have physical possession of these shares.
yes, u can do that is the broker can do it without a cost .. not sure. but maybe get ur kids there own stocks. my father gave us a list of stocks to choose from.. some companies we had to research... and some we knew like. Levi, Disney, some clothing companies we use or even apple..
If the stock is in the street name of the broker it is just an internal accounting entry. If you actually hold certificates then they have to be reregistered and there will be a cost.
