Yes you do need a broker to process your trades and there are a lot to choose from like E-trade, TD Ameritrade, Scottrade, SogoInvest, to name a few. I myself use TD without any problems. Best is to research various brokers as to the costs and benefits. Since each trade transaction commissions are charged by the broker, it can add up quite fast.
