Has my password to my email been phished?

Question:
I received this email in my account this morning and the sender is from my own account, and the content is obviously spam, it is entitled "Hot Alert" and the content is apparently an inside information about some stocks. I will delete this piece of mail like any other spam mail, but I am worried if my password has been phished so this happens?

Under what other circumstances would you be able to send an email to yourself with that same email address? And why would they send it to me using my own email address?

Does anyone have a similar occurence?

Answer:
Not to worry...this is clearly a case of spoofing...where the 'apparent' sender is not the actual one. In any case, you should change your password from time to time. Good luck...keep vigilant!
Your password is probably fine. Someone spoofed your address, which is a very easy thing to do. If you look in your e-mail headers, you can see that it didn't come from you.
Dont be afraid..theres a lot spammers nowadays..and hackers too..they can easily do that..but theres a lot of way but if you're really worried then why not just change your password?
for safety reasons i would recomment you change your pass word to something else and this time use a combination of numbers and higher and lower case letters, just in case someone did get you pass word, it makes it harder to get at. Or you could have a virus, do you have a firewall on your computer, always keep your antivirus and firewall up to date, its really the best " safety" net you have and it makes it harder for hackers to get into your system. your problem could be alot of things
