I'm trying to figure out who reviews products at magazines and what their job title might be. Any ideas?

Question:

Their job title should be Editor.
It depends of the magazine, usually they are experts on that field, they might be outside collaborators or staff members.

They usually have not a "review guy" title because they do more than that, they usually are called "technical editor", "technical writer" or "technical journalist" and they can work under a "technical director".

For example a photography magazine might have professional photographers working as technical writers and besides writing photography articles he might do product review of new cameras.
