1.) Wholesale
You need to wholesale them to outlets. Try calling buyers for large chains e.g supermarkets and set up meetings with them to see if they are interested in purchasing in bulk.
Simultaneously get smaller local buyers on board such as small hardware shops and shoe shops! These smaller deals take less time and keep the business going whereas the big ones will bring the big bucks rolling in!
You would do well to get an experienced salesperson to do this for you and you will need to be able to answer some hardcore questions such as:
How many can you produce?
In what time period?
What pricing structure or discounts are available for bulk purchases?
2.) Endorsements and research.
You might also want to go down the endorsement route or even do some research into whether kids will buy it - do they think its "cool"?? If they dont you are wasting your time!
For Endorsements, you could give them to a celebrity for free or find a "local hero" who doesnt mind helping you out, make sure they are seen to be synonymous with "cool fashion" and are "trendy" or it could backfire!
3.) Reselling
If I were you I would maybe even approach Giants such as Nike to see if they want to incorporate it as a permanent feature on their trainers - or effectively become a "reseller" of your idea - where you get royalties for each one sold with their trainers.
