"Power" can be measured or quantified many ways. We've had a great, short history as nations go, and have accomplished much.
Problem is, perceptions can be changed very quickly based on a few bad moves or speeches.
Such is the case with any person, buisiness or any other entity. We have the power the do much, but don't always exercise good judgment in using that power.
