If you make a website for a new invention would that be as good as having a patent?

Question:

Answer:
simple answer - no.
No, it would be worse. You'd be advertising your invention, telling everyone about your great idea without any protection.
That would not be a good idea, there is no honor among idea thieves. Sorry.
Your idea would be on the market so fast, that your head would spin. Protection is the best policy. To thine self be true, ring a bell?
Some folks already think they're entilted to everything they can reach. Do you want your idea to be free for the taking?
A good or great idea on the web would be a nice thing to give away, you can always ask if they 'want fries with that,'
Just trying to prove that you arrived at the idea first will take time, money and could earn you a spot in court with a patent attorney for the other side trying to sue you for taking his client's idea.
Not worth the risk.
