What spray or gel should i use? please tell me?

I'm not sure about hair gel before styling as I use styling foam/mousse, however, for a light hair spray, I use the pump kind of Final Net unscented and it's not too heavy on the 'do. Just fyi, unscented products typically have a masking scent but this brand is not too overpowering in any event.
You definitley want a gel instead of a spray, its a lot stronger. What I've seen people spike hair with is actually styling wax or putty, it stiffens your hair so you can shape it hoever you want, and it stays all day. Garneir Fructis has a good styling wax made with fruit waxes, so it smells good and it's good for your hair, too.
