Help with presenting a product idea to a corporation.?

Question:

I need to send it to a well known corporation, but what procedures should I follow? Who should I address it to? I also, obviously want to make it appear professional. I figure I should print it on high quality paper and send it in some sort of portfolio. Any help would be awesome!

you need to get you idea, on high quality paper, make it look professionally done, (no images from pen or pencil, ...computer made, in ms paint or some other program, with labels of the parts) have the words, patent pending on the image. find your projected target market, and try to get some hard numbers, that you might be able to graph, into a sort of calculated, incomve revenue for your type of product, so you can show them the earning potential of your product, and have that backed up by facts, and possibly competitor earnings. Also, you should never let them know if you have a legal advisor/ lawyer, tell them you do, regardless if you don't, if you say you have one ready to work out the legal issues, they will take you seriously. lastly, make sure you have a planned out presentation, and make a list of possible questions they may have for you, and be prepared to answer them. the best thing to do in the presentation is to answer every question before they ask it, so they know you mean business and you have done your homework. good luck.
