What common characteristic(s) did inventors of 18th,19th and 20th century have?
Question:
Answer:
I think most of them are a bit mad and have too much time with nothing to do... although I do really appreciate their effort coz without them we'd probably be living like stone age people... Oh and I think they all have perseverence
I would say...THEY NEEDED THINGS! Or they thought other people would believe they needed something that the inventor knew how to make.
"Necessity (not Frank Zappa) is the mother of invention."
In lower tech times, it was harder to get through the day without some of the things we have now. They were invented because someone thought, "Gee wouldn't it be nice if I had something to make this job easier?" And voila. They invented it.
Course, we have gone wayyyyyyy overboard since then...there is a gizmo for every supposed need and I find a lot of them insulting. Swiffer products for example. Battery operated toilet scrubbers. In general, I am pretty fed up with the disposable products market. I can do that cleaning stuff "the hard way" thanks but a Bic lighter sure does the trick doesn't it, razors too!
