How can I remove stubborn chewing gum from a pair of jeans?

Question:
I've read all the answers on here to other similar questions and I followed the advice about putting my jeans in the freezer but the problem is that it didn't all come off - I managed to pick off the excess gum but there is still a very visible, sticky white mark. Any ideas of products (that I can get in Ireland) that will remove the rest?

Answer:
use a tissue and iron
peanut butter. Sounds crazy, but it works.
Take the jeans and put them in a plastic bag then stick it in the freezer. The chewing gum gets hard and easily removed.

There is no perfect way of getting it off but the freezer is the best way. It is sticky therefore it will be sticky no matter what method you try.

Peanut butter doesn't work I have tried it, butter doesnt work. Putting anything with mositure on it just makes it stickier. Remember gum has sugar in it. Sugar + liquids = sticky mess
try peanut butter
Try "Goo Gone" is great stuff.
how about just cutting it out; holes in the jeans is all the rage...
WD 40..get it at the hardware store.
rub it with an ice cube, until it gets cold, it should come off then.
Eucalyptus oil.
Goo Gone
buy a new jeans.
white vinegar
Freezer is not cold enough. There is a product that will freeze the gum. It is like canned air, only it get very cold. It is commonly used to remove gum from carpets. Check a cleaning supply store.
place youre jean in the freezer and then you can just take off the gum when its cold.
you know when you get spray bottles of flash clean and stuff well put about 25mls of vinegar then put some lemon juice just a little bit then put the spray top on and spay on the mixture on the stain then rub with a cloth!
try freezer tip with hair shampoo
There is a product put out by Elmer's, the makers of the white glue everyone uses in school. It REMOVES sticky substances, and it's a bit oily, but you can use a degreaser to get rid of that after you remove the gum residue. You can find it at Walmart, or your local grocery store. I have a bottle somewhere, but can't remember the name! But you'll find out in the area where they sell household cleaners, more in the specialized areas. I found my bottle in Winn Dixie, in the area where they sell general tools, hardware, etc. And it was by chance.wasn't looking, but knew I needed something to get up the adhesive used when tiling, because the floor wasn't completely set when we moved in, and the glue oozed up between the cracks. Anyway...hope this helps, just wish I knew the name of it! If I manage to find my bottle (moved since I bought it, no idea what box it's in!) I'll add it to here.
use surgical spirit dab on then wash usually does the trick
Ice cubes then scrape off.
have you tried using vanish ? put it on the mark neat then wash see if that works.
You can try vegetable oil and a razor blade dragged across it. Then use a degreaser before you wash them.
That should finish getting it out.
freezer for sure
Hi, there is a liquid (a solvent) called Trementine which can be found in handcraft stores or whatever store that sells supplies for art students, paintors, etc. To remove the chewing gum, just pour some Trementine on a piece of cloth and rub it on the stain. Trementine will disolve and remove the chewing gum completely. I know because I once had to remove chewing gum from my hair! and it worked. Good luck!
pop them in the freezer my love.
ice cube rubbing
use go jo hand cleaner
