Was the inventor of the violin left or right handed?because the left hand needs to be the most dexterous?
Question:
Answer:
The violin wasn't invented in a flash of inspiration. It evolved from earlier string instruments, all of which were held differently, some more than others. And all the way through the 18th century, violins were played differently from the way they are played now. They had no chinrest, so the left hand played as much of a role in holding the instrument as the chin and shoulder. (Shifting left-hand positions with modern shoulder rests and chin rests is breeze-easy by comparison.) As the playing technique evolved and violinists like Paganini began to clamp down on the instrument with their chins, more virtuosity with left-hand finger technique became the norm (not that there weren't virtuosic pieces before Paganini!). The focus shifted from the art of the bow stroke, to the speed of the fingers, and thus from right hand to left.
hmmm
first of all , who invented the violin?
i would geuss, just becuase right-handed violins are MUCH more common, it was a right-handed violinist...althogh, if he/she INVENTED it, how could she/he which one she was?
