To help you with your problem, try to think about your needs or wants that are currently not addressed in the market. Of course, some of which may be very out of this world so try to filter those that are a bit realistic. Have you seen the movie 'Envy' where Jack Black invented the 'vapoorize' product? That was a unique product out of one's desperation to find a product that will make him rich and at the same time address unaddressed needs of dog owners. Of course it's a movie, but if you really look around you then think out of the box, i'm sure you'll arrive at something brilliant. :)
Anyway, here's something I thought of over the summer -
a Sunblock Machine. During summer when we hit the beach, I find it hard (even with a friend's help) to apply sunblock evenly. It also takes some time to apply it. So why not build a machine for resort owners where customers can have sunblock applied to their bodies. It's actually similar to tanning machines.
