Is it hard to get into a private college?

Question:
I'm a high school senior with a 3.6 all years of high school, involved with extra curricular activities each year, has done much volunteer work, half asian... And I want to apply out of Georgia (back to kentucky where i did my previous 3 years of high school at) and I'm scared I can't get my tuition paid for or if I can get a full ride to a college in Kentucky. I have an ACT of 20 and I'm going to retake it to make it higher but most of the colleges I'm looking at want a 27. What should I do??

Answer:
You did not mention which schools you are considering.

Some private colleges are highly selective, and some are not. With your ACT score, highly selective colleges (like Transylvania) are not currently within your reach.

Check the websites of the colleges below, and you can often find out the average ACT score of entering students.

Alice Lloyd College, Asbury College, Bellarmine University, Berea College, Brescia University, Campbellsville University, Centre College, Georgetown College, Kentucky Christian University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Lindsey Wilson College, Mid-Continent University, Midway College, Pikeville College, St. Catharine College, Spalding University, Thomas More College, Union College, and University of the Cumberlands.
take it. lol....
if you want a full ride scholarship, you are going to need to have much higher than a 20 or even a 27 act score. aim for the 30s. if the act isnt your thing, try the sat. Good luck!
if you want you can take it cuz its what you can get and from there if you want you can go for the 27`s
