Was it hard for you to move to another state AND pay for college??
Question:
2. I am scared that I won't be able to support myself with going to school and working
3. I don't want to regret my decision
My question is, do/did any of you have problems supporting yourself and going to school. Or working and paying off student loans.i just don't want to live the paycheck to paycheck lifestyle!
Answer:
well, I am in the middle of doing that now, so I'll tell you what I'm doing. I have been saving money for a year now so that I can have something to fall on. There are also services that can help you pay your bills or help you pay for school, and this is money that you won't have to pay back. Also, try to keep your courseload light at first so you don't feel so overwhelmed, you can pick up extra credits in the summer or winter classes.
Look for people that are looking for roommates too, you don't need to live in a fancy place when you're going to college. I also started looking for a new job early. I drove to the town I'll be moving to and put in a bunch of applications and explained I will be moving to their town soon. I'm sure you won't regret your decision because no matter what happens you will learn from it and that will help you out.
was it hard? YES!
want to know what was harder? paying off all that student loan debt and CC bills I accrued while going to school and working at the same time.
what would I do differently? Go to a cheaper school in state and not borrow so damn much money. I was a fool.
Out of debt now but I could really be sitting pretty if I hadn't wasted all that interest.
