not that i know of, but some offer payment plans for housing to break the payments down smaller than they normally would
do you have a friend that goes there? if so you can just room with them for free..they dont check in to see whoose in there.

Yes, there are grants that give you money for general expenses such as books, housing, food, etc. You can get them through your University, the State, or the private sector.
Not just for that. you can get help though. Talk to the councilor at the college.
try to more scholarships or a few grants. if that fails take out a student loan. there are a lot of ways to pay for college, so not worry.
Just take out some student loans and have a blast.
You need to talk to a teacher advisor. I am sure this is a way to accommodate this request It is not that complex. But the school is the best starting point to get the relief.

Grants and loans and most scholarships can be used for expenses other than tuition: housing, books, a car, food... whatever you need. Even child care if you have a child.
Many scholarships are never awarded because no one applies or applicants don't follow the instructions and are disqualified. Start cruising and networking scholarship websites, scholarship forums and newsgroups. Your public library and school library should have listings. Your school advisor should have lists also and colleges post scholarship opportunities online and on bulletin boards.
You can get scholarships for almost anything without doing much more than filling an application. If your parent was a mailman or you have a certain last name or a certain ethnic background or your ancestors came from a certain country. If you're blonde. If you're black. If you're missing a toe.
When you find a good scholarship website, pull down the view menu and read the "keywords" or "meta tags" in the source code. Use those keywords to find other scholarship sites.
Avoid websites that offer lists that you pay for.
Don't join the military if you don't want to go to Iraq or Afghanistan or wherever they plan to send troops next. That's what my son did and he was pulled out of school in the middle of the term and sent to Iraq.

Three siblings I know started scholarship hunting when they were in high school. They were from a one-parent family with no money, no hope of going to college, yet all three ended up with 5 year degrees and very little college loan debt. (College Loan companies are nothing but legalized loan sharks.)
Since they were a grade apart (twins and older sibling), it was a competition plus they networked together. You'd be surprised at how $50 and $100 scholarships add up, in addition to larger scholarships. They even got money every year just for having a certain name. (lots of those around)
They didn't stop when they got to college. All through college, they kept submitting essays, letters, applications for scholarship money. They lived away from home and went to separate colleges. They all had their own car. They worked, too, but worked smart. They waited tables and soon learned that 15 hours a week in a really good restaurant would earn them as much as a 40-hr week job in retail. Ten years after graduation, one is medical manager of a hospital; one is a college teacher and one is an engineer.
