How much do college players get paid?
Question:
Answer:
Actually everyone is wrong. All college players do get paid stipends (food and entertainment money) for road trips. It's paid daily.
Some of the better players also get there pockets padded a bit by boosters or even "host families"..
The way this usually works is in the offseason. Players take on these "jobs" where they get paid thousands of dollars without really ever having to work. They are on the payroll, but don't have to work a shift.
They don't get paid.
They only get paid at Ohio State.
Nothing. NCAA rules
They don't. If they are caught taking payment of any type, they are kicked out.
They don't get paid - legally.
If you think they don't get any money slide under the table, you're very naive.
No players get paid in any sports. They get no money from card sales, ticket sales or jersey sales.
Now DO they get paid... travel to Miami or Ohio St and check out some of the things the football players are driving.
Either way if caught it is an NCAA violation no matter what Division it is.
EDIT: Well they kind of get paid if you count the fact that many of them are on scholarship. Basically getting their schooling paid.
college football players do not get paid..
College players don't get paid. Most are playing off of a scholarship. Somecoaches pay their players to come play footbal for them, but it's illegal and they usually get caught.
college players supposed to get NOTHING
We all know that they are not suppose to get paid.I have 2 cousins that made it to the pros.in football and basketball.Neither got paid for there college careers. Both were on full scholarship and both had jobs.In the bookstore. And both got paid for working the book stores.Im talking 4 digits per payday.
The NCAA prohibits players from getting paid, except the tuition on scholarships, which goes directly to the school...It is illegal...but then you have USC, and Reggie Bush...
Legally nothing. Certain players are surely paid under the table though but of course its not reported. Michigan (Charles Woodson), Ohio State (Maurice Clarett), USC (Reggie Bush) all have had these rumors follow them around.
They get paid nothing. It is illegal. Occassionally a booster will slip some money or presents to someone, but when they do they are breaking the law and potentially destroying that kid's career. So most colleges do a great job of cracking down on this sort of stuff. College kids are amateur athletes, and are not entitled to payment of any kind, apart from the scholarships that are paying their way through school. That is it.
The great college players get payed the big bucks in the NFL not college
They don't get paid unless there on the Michigan Basketball Team. Now they can recieve scholarships. So its sort off like getting paid.
For example, supposively Jamarcus Russell came from a rough childhood. Well this kid looked like he had already played a year in the league before the draft. Now how is that possible, uh duh everything is done illegally. Watch the movie Blue Chips and you'll see what really goes on.
College players get paid, oh my. Does the NCAA know about this. Of course, they get paid.
1. Free college education
2. Cheerleaders (just kidding)
3. Most of what they get paid with is often done through a booster club or under the table. It can include things like cars, clothes, gifts to family, girls, sometimes even drugs (hope not), or whatever they need.
4. A head start on a making a pro team.
5. Whatever they may want.
6. Money
7. The list goes on and much of it is under the table stuff.
0 dollers and 0 cents!
They don't get paid and if they do thats against the college players rules
NCAA rules do not allow college players to get paid for playing for that school. Allowing student/athletes to be paid for playing is a violation of NCAA rules and voids the player's eligibility as an amateur athlete.
NO! only the scholarship and some get assisted living ( rent vouchers ) but other than that nope not even the hook up on a jersey or some kicks
they don't.
They get paid in scholarships, not money !
There not pros, there collage kids, and playing football isn't a job, its an extra curicular activity. They don't get paid
Not a thangbut a chicken wang
All those people who say Reggie bush got paid under the table need to get of my cousin. No one paid him to play for USC because that's what our uncle did and he got caught and kicked off the team for good. So don't try to go spreading around rumors
but it is illegal to pay players in college but some do but Reggie did not
THOSE BOYS SHOULD GET PAID, COLLEGE PLAYERS PLAY HARDER THAN THE PROS!
uh they dont get paid duh
It's against college rules for a college player to be payed. The only thing "extra" or a booster is a full ride to the college. Once in 1992, the Michigan basketball team bribed kids with cars. It was later discovered, and the Wolverines were banned from the NCAA Tournament for two years. There's more to the story below.
