Question:
My mom had a dream since she was a kid to become a chiro. well she took night classes and worked during the day in order to what she needed to go to chiropractic college. Four years ago she finally made it to college to get her degree. She was only in her second week of school when the docs said that the tumor in her neck had to come out.and wanted that done that week. well thank God it was not cancer, but they still had to do a nerve graft and she was unable to move her right arm past a point. she had to give up on her dream because she was always in pain and because of the prob with the arm. to make a long story short, i ended up getting some money from an aunt who died. she gave some to me and to my sister. well i told my mom today (BTW she is 99% better and can move her arm great now) that i was going to help her go back and finish her dream. My sister is pissed off because she asked to borrow money from me (shes owes LOTS to credit card companys) i told her she got money from our
Answer:
While, I understand she is your sister and you love her. However ,I have to say that she is very inmature. The reason I say that is, she expects you to bail her out of her mess. Give the money to your mother.. sounds like you have a great relationship with her. Mothers give alot of the time and love to their children. So, it is nice when we can give something to our mothers. And a dream how great is that! Your sister will more than likely get over being mad at the both of you.
Let your sister get herself out of her own mess, and I think it is great that you want to help your mom live out her dream, so tell your Mom not to worry or fret about your sister, if worse comes to worse, your sister can file for bankruptcy, and tell your Mother to go back to school and to live her dreams, she sacrificed enough, and now it is her time to live out her dreams.
I commend you on what your doing for your Mom and I think your a great daughter/or son :)
Your sister is selfish and greedy. Let her stew in her own juices for awhile. When she realizes what a brat she has been, she will come back to you. If she fails to realize this, remember SHE made the choice. What you are doing for your Mother is wonderful. You are a good daughter. Don't let your sister's petty attitude ruin this gift to your Mom. Good Luck!
