Question:
Which scholarships pay in checks directly to the student rather than straight to the school? I know private ones do, but what about the ones on Fastweb and other common Finaid searches? Has anyone gotten direct money from these sites?
Answer:
most scholarships go straight to the school to make sure that they will be going to the school. i received a scholarship and it was sent straight to the school. and if they were to hand you the check it doesn't say your name on it like a real check and it's not a big cardboard check. it is made to your school with your name as the benificiar. you can't just make fast cash for applying to them. and they send them to the school the first day of school... not during the summer.
