How can I get scholarships this late?
Question:
But where can I find scholarships this close to school?
Also I'm attending Texas State University(assuming I get scholarships) if that helps.
Thanks
Answer:
you can always get scholarships. Check out your school's website and see if they are offering any scholarships that you could apply to and also fill out the FAFSA which could tell you about scholarships, loans or grants you are applicable for. You could also join fastweb.com which gives you an opportunity to find a ton of different scholarships based on the things you like. I think that if you at least show that you're trying your parents won't just send you somewhere you don't wanna go (you may want involve them in the process so they see how dedicated you are). Good Luck :)
There are plenty of websites (Fastweb, CollegeBoard, Scholarships, etc.), check one them out. The likeliness that you will receive the scholarships acceptance before fall starts, very low.
See if you qualifed for any Texas State scholarships. My friend is going there and she just recently got some more money from them. Look for fellowships as well. Good luck in your studies!!
Start with the FAFSA
I'm going to UT Austin in the fall and am very familiar with financial aid and scholarships, etcetera. I don't mean to sound rude but you're screwed. There are virtually no scholarships available at this point. Go to a junior college this year then apply next year at www.finaid.org and then also apply for scholarships at www.fastweb.com. I'm sorry. =(
