Question:
If your parent makes too much for you to get approved for financial aid (grants) when going to college and not enough to put you through college, has bad credit (so personal/private loans are out of the question), how do you go about getting money for college. I already know about scholarships, work study, and things of that nature. Is there anything else besides that?
Answer:
I think you could probably get approved for some sort of financial aid regardless of credit if you find a viable co-signer that has a better credit rating.
Some companies pay for their employees to attend college. You can look for a private sponser - my parents sponsered a student through 4 yrs of private high school.
However, you may just need to wait until you file taxes yourself and your parents are no longer claiming you as a dependent. another option would be to choose a less expensive school or go to school 3/4 time and work more to pay the balance.
