College Funding?

Question:
Im going to College in Kentucky and I'm studying to be a Elementary Teacher, how or what can I do to get my college paid for. I here there are certain programs that will pay your college off.

Answer:
There are programs out there for teacher recruitment besides scholarships out there.

First, check with Kentucky's website. There is a program out there for paying off student loans for teachers who agree to serve in urban or under served areas for a certain period of time. I have included some links to teacher scholarship programs offered by Kentucky.

Second, there is a national teacher recruitment program called Teach for America. It focuses on urban and rural areas. It is part of Americorps.

Finally, there are free membership scholarship search websites which tap private scholarships from organizations and companies.

Good luck!
