Will a GED still look bad if I have a Bachelors Degree?

Question:
I had one half credit of PE to obtain to graduate, and the summer school class was full. I already have a full scholarship to the college of my choice for this fall, and I could either go to high school for another semester and have to put off college, or just get my GED and start college this fall. Will employers really look at the fact that I dont have a high school diploma if I have attended 4 years of college? I'll probably go to graduate school too, so is having a GED really that bad?

Answer:
If you attend a 4-year college and have a bachelar's degree no one is going to care how you got there. Most of the time you would not even list your high school on your resume after you go to college
After you go through college, nobody will care about what you did in high school. Where you went to college and your college GPA will be much more important.
Make sure you can keep your scholarship if you go the GED route. If not, you can probably take a summer Community College course (depending on the state you are in) to meet the requirement. I advise you to speak with your counselor and principle -- you may be able to get special consideration. You've earned a full scholarship, so the school board is going to help you.
Heavens no. Nobody cares what high school you went to. You never list that on your resume at the professional level.
Having a GED really doesnt have any disadvantages.
Employers won't look down on you because you have a GED. On the other hand, they might actually be impressed thinking that you dropped out of high school but found the desire for higher education and went to a 4 year school.
However, you should know that in most states (if not all) require you to be out of school for at least 1 year before taking the GED test. The GED test is quite easy, and I'll bet if you take it right now, you'll pass (considering that you are not a total slacker), but the fact is, that since you haven't been out of school for a year, they won't even let you take the test.

Also, not that universities really care, but in my experience it seems that a High school diploma has a slight advantage over a GED diploma when considering admissions.

My advise, beg your dean to let you in summer school gym class. Tell him that otherwise you won't be able to go to college next semester. If your dean is not a total jerk he should pull some strings and let you in. (come on... we're talking about PE, not AP classes)
If that doesn't work, I would still suggest that you go to high school for another semester, finish your requirements and get your high school diploma. GED diploma should always be your last resort. STAY IN SCHOOL!! TRUST ME!! IT'S BETTER!!
