I was accepted into a great private university and I am trying to transfer out of the sh1thole that is my current university... the school which i want to go to has a great program for my major, and it is far away from home, which is great bc i don't rly get along with my parents. my parents, on the other hand, are trying to prevent my cosigner from signing my loan bc they do not want me to be in debt, but they are going off of information that they have heard from other people, and sought out simply to argue their case. they are going to keep me in a college which i hate by cutting off my resources to a loan, and they are NOT paying for my education. any advice?

Have you looked into a federal student loan? You do not need a cosigner with them. Also you may want to talk with someone at your financial aid office and see what they would suggest.
They're your parents. Maybe you should listen to them?
I wish you'd included WHY they feel that way. Sometimes parents may have a reason that may seem rediculous to their kids, but maybe wise in the long run. I'm not defending them, I don't know their logic, but I'm just saying that they may have good reason, so try and see it from their point of view as well.
sounds like you have lots of issues with your parents(you might not believe it, but they want whats best for you)! if you can't get the loan with your cosigner, look into student loans and financial aid, or continue going to a college you can afford.
cut your ties and go it on your own. beg borrow and steal you will make it one way or another if you want it
